I pressed record and played. It's one of my favorite ways to play because it really comes from you and less from the notes.

"A lone star catches my gaze as the smoke clears.

I cough but I am strangely peaceful.

Its cold though I don't mind it much.

The piano plays inside and you're warm in your bed I'm sure, not paying any attention to the star that has captured my mind and asked me to feel again.

I sit and think of the days, the weeks I've gone without paying much heed to such things as stars or hazy nights.

But it is getting late and the cold is now finally getting to me.

I'll head inside and forget this moment in a moment as I get on with my dull life, but I'm glad I saw the star.

I hope to see it again."
